This section shows tourism expenditure, with domestic visitor spending broken down by region of origin, while international visitor spending is broke down by country of origin. This data is in current prices and provides an idea of visitor spending in Auckland, relative to the rest of the country. Tourism expenditure should not be confused with tourism GDP, which is a measure of value added by the tourism sector.
