Each industry in an area has unique characteristics that result in them making different contributions to GDP. This section shows how different industries contribute to GDP in Kapiti Coast District. At the broadest level, we look at GDP in terms of primary industries, goods-producing industries, high-value services, other services, and other i sectors. We also look at the contribution of GDP in terms of the more detailed 1-digit ANZSIC06 classifications i and at the 54 industry classifications used in the National Accounts.
